Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, issued an appreciation letter on Tuesday addressing Major General Ghasem Solimani who is in command of Iranian forces in war against ISIL terrorists.
The Leader addresses the Iranian Major General Solimani as “the honorable commander of Islamic forces and a devoted divine fighter.”
Mr. Khamenei says that he is “deeply grateful to God Almighty” that “thanks to the selfless endeavors of” Major General Solimani and “a massive host of companions” an “evil tree planted by the tyrants of the world was uprooted” by Mr. Solimani and “the pious followers of God in the countries of Iraq and Syria.”
“It was not just a simple blow to the tyrannical and infamous group of ISIL, but it was a heavier blow to an evil policy which aimed to create civil war, destroy the anti-Zionist resistance, and undermine the independent governments in the region through the savage leaders of this perverted group,” reads the letter of Iranian Leader.
“It delivered a blow to former and current US administrations and the regimes of the region dependent on them who created and supported this group with all their means to spread their malignant dominance over the western Asia for giving ascendency to the occupying Zionist regime,” asserts the Iranian Leader, touching upon the 70 years of developments in the Middle East.
“With eradicating this cancerous fatal tumor, you gave a big gift to not only the countries of the region and the Islamic world, but also all the nations of the world and the entire human race,” reads the Leader’s reply to Mr. Soliemani’s congratulation upon the downfall of ISIL group.
“I sincerely offer my congratulations to you but, at the same time, warn you of deception practiced by enemies,” Ayatollah Khamenei writes.
“Those who financed this sinister plot with heavy investments will not rest and will continue their efforts to re-emerge another plot in another part of this region,” the veteran politician warns his military commander.
Ayatollah Khamenei closes his letter with praying for and saluting Mr. Soleimani and all the devote fighters of the region from Iraq and Syria.
Back in September, Major General Ghasem Soleimani, the Commander of IRGC Quds Force had vowed to eradicate ISIL group within three months.
“Iran’s Leader, and the selfless youth are the keys to the success against the plots laid by enemies,” he said at that time.
“This victory solely belongs to the governments, nations, and Leaders of Iran, Iraq, and Syria and all the young warriors at resistance fronts, and with the Divine auspices we will soon witness this great victory,” reassured General Soleimani during an address on September 21, 2017.
